Jack has been serving Zebulon Baptist since October of 1977 when he was called as Assistant Pastor for Youth and Education. In 1981, the church called Jack to his current position as Senior Pastor. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Jack is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Economics and received his Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. In his Master of Theology work at Southeastern his area of concentration was in Christian Ethics.
Jack is married to Barbara Glasgow. They serve Zebulon Baptist Church as a ministry team of Senior Pastor and Minister of Music and Senior Adults. Their daughter, Liza Knight, is married to Russell and has one son, Logan. Their son, Jackson, is married to Lauren. Both children and their spouses are high school teachers.
Jack serves the church in the ministries of preaching and worship, teaching, leadership and administration, and pastoral care. He enjoys pastoral conversations with members of all ages. He loves ministry with teens and is currently very engaged in leading youth ministry at Zebulon Baptist. He has led Baptists as Moderator of both the National and North Carolina organizations of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
A son and father of a high school coach, Jack loves sports passionately. An avid booster of East Wake High School's teams, he also enjoys supporting Georgia Tech and East Carolina sports teams. Jack and Barbara also enjoy musical theater and movies. Back in Atlanta Jack worked for the Atlanta Braves in his early years - although he loves life in North Carolina, he remains a loyal fan of his hometown Braves, Falcons, and Hawks.
"My long tenure at Zebulon Baptist Church has been a great blessing for me and my family. I love this congregation and community. Indeed my life's work truly has been to encourage persons in their faith and to be present and supportive in their major life moments in my role as pastor. I continue to enjoy my role in ministry and look forward to what God has in store for the future of this amazing church family." -Jack Glasgow
