]]>Senior Pastor at CBF General Assemblyhttp://www.zebulonbaptist.com/blog/2008/6/29/senior-pastor-at-cbf-general-assembly.htmlzbc2008-06-29T21:45:06Z2008-06-29T21:45:06ZOur Senior Pastor, Jack Glasgow, gave a wonderful presentation at the General Assembly of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Memphis, TN about the CBF's response to the Millennium Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2000 to reduce abject poverty.  Here's the video of the entire first session, his presentation begins at 13:15. Jack was also elected to serve as the Moderator of CBF.  Below you can find a video of his induction which takes place around 32:30.

Senior Pastor, Jack Glasgow will be the Moderator this year and making some important presentations at this meeting.

Also, noteworty is that the Reverend Jennifer Asbill will be our guest in worship on Sunday, June 29 in view of a call to be our Pastor for Discipleship.  (Note: that prior to Sunday evening worship on June 29 we will vote to call Jennifer to our church staff effective Sunday, August 17.

Of course we have the regular schedule of morning worship and Sunday School sessions, but there's much more going on this week.

Sunday - kids in Kindergarten - 3rd grade have a Treasure Hunt Sunday afternoon from 4-5:30 followed by practicing for the Cherub Choir concert.  The concert is Sunday night at 6:30 in the Sanctuary.

Wednesday - our last Wednesday night program until the Fall...make reservations by Tuesday at noon (email Sharon Ray  sray@zebulonbaptist.com for your reservation)...the Music Mates will have their concert at 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Room of building B. Adults will meet for a short Bible Study from 6:40 - 7:00 in the sanctuary.

Thursday - Senior Adults are having brunch at the home of Harry and Hallie Wilson (contact Barbara if you are planning to attend (269-7329 or bglasgow@zebulonbaptist.com)

Friday - our last preschool "Two By Two" activity at 10:00 a.m.

Meetings - Executive Committee (Sunday), Administrative Deacons (Monday), Ministry Deacons (Tuesday), and VBS Faculty (Thursday).
